The Scubaphone Sport comes with a mouthmask with an oral cavity into which the diver can talk. Simply cut the tiewrap that holds the mouthpiece in place on your second stage regulator. Mount the mouthmask in the same place and secure with the enclosed tiewrap. Mount the mask by inserting the chin into the pocket and place the headstrap so it lies diagonally over the back of the top of the head. You are now breathing using your own regulator. The mouthmask is designed to purge itself with every exhalation and can even be used comfortably by divers with beards. The mouthmask is comfortable and adjusts itself to the contours of most faces. The mouthmask eliminates jaw fatigue associated with the mouthbit on most regulators. The mouthmask is easily removed to substitute the octopus or to share air. It is also an excellent safety feature to have the mouthmask held in place with a strap. An unconscious diver will lose the mouthbit when the jaw slackens and possibly die although there is still air in the tank. The Scubaphone mouthmask holds the air supply securely in place.
